The University of Basrah has developed an Intranet network to be adopted in all aspects of its administrative work, as well as using advanced systems such as the archiving program and the central mail in its dealings, which are designed by the Information Technology and Communication Center.
In this context, the work team of the Networks Division at Information Technology and Communication Center, University of Basrah, which is administrating the intranet at our university, toured the university’s colleges and centers to be aware of the intranet units, evaluate and provide them with all requirements for success.
In light of the tour, the work team installed Mikrotik receivers and transmitters for the purpose of replacing them with the Nanodevices in the faculties of our university that are connected to the intranet, as the current Nano does not serve the projects and services that will be launched in the near future, so it was replaced by Mikrotik device, the size of the data packet that it can send and receive It is 1 Kika to ensure having the necessary infrastructure to meet the ambition of our university, in addition to starting constructing Data Center that serves the university as a repository for its data in the future.
