Basrah University  Prepares for IELTS Tests

The University of Basrah is preparing for IELTS tests in cooperation with the British Council

The Director of the Information Technology and Communication Center, University of Basrah, Kayan Abdul Aziz Mutlaq, said that the President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, formed a working team represented by the membership of the Information Technology and Communication Center, Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning, and lecturers from the College of Arts to prepare the technical and technical requirements necessary to perform the test in an optimal manner.

In this context, the team visited the Multimedia Laboratory of the College of Arts, which was designated to perform IELTS tests for the purpose of examining the laboratory's network infrastructure, installed software and the Internet, and ensuring their conformity with international standards and according to the specifications of the British University of Cambridge.

The IELTS test is an international English language testing system (International English Language Testing System) and it is one of the most famous English language proficiency tests in the world to help those wishing to apply for higher education, immigration, or work in a country where English is the mother tongue. The test includes an assessment of the participant’s ability On listening, reading, writing, and speaking English.

IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP Australia, and the University of Cambridge, the test content is produced in English to strict international standards, without any cultural or linguistic bias.
