Iraqi universities top Baghdad in the results of the (QS) world rankings

The (QS) World University Rankings revealed its results for the 2022 edition, which showed Iraqi universities, led by the University of Baghdad, followed by Al-Mustansiriya, Kufa, Babylon, and Basra.

The official website point out for the classification One thousand three hundred international universities competed from different countries of the world, including the Iraqi universities from the 2022 edition, namely the University of Baghdad in the (801-1000) position, Al-Mustansiriya University in the position (1001-1200), the University of  Kufa in the position (1001-1200), the University of Babylon in the position (1201+) and the University of Basra At the position (1201+).

It is worth noting that the Qs rating depends in the assessment on the criteria of academic reputation (40%), employers (10%), the ratio of students to teachers (20%), citations (20%), international teachers (5%) and international students (5%).

It is noteworthy that Iraqi universities recorded a global presence and competition in the Times Classification for Sustainable Development (TIMES IMPACT 2021), and the Times version of international universities indicated the competition, attendance and participation of Baghdad, Technology and Basra universities for the year 2021, and the (QS), (Scimago), (Greenmetrics) and (URAP) rankings showed. And (RUR) and (webometrics) no less than eighty-six Iraqi universities and colleges in the competition arena, while Iraq ranked forty-fifth globally in publishing scientific research, and ranked sixth in the Middle East and third globally in the publication index at global levels.
